While I painted this on Playa Langosta, I got coffee delivered to me. Now *that* is luxury!

What a beautiful country Costa Rica is! We visited only 2 towns, Tamarindo on the coast and La Fortuna in the mid-NW. So, while I cannot speak for the entire country, the glimpse I got of the country was one of beauty, richness in human values, simple but zestful living, harmony with nature and by nature I mean bounty of nature. Having family with us only added to our fun. My kids had more than mom and dad to converse and play with. Amrish mama took Arin horse riding, Aji babysat Aarav when Mahesh, Aditi and I hiked Cerro Chato. I could’ve sketched 10 sketches a day and would have to travel about 100 feet total.

This is my favorite of all the 17 sketches I made on the trip!

Yes! If you are a painter, you can understand the trove of scenes that are constantly bombarding you. Do you remember Alex from Madagascar who when hit by the tranquilizer dart can only imagine fantastic images, it’s like that, you are hit by the Costa Rican tranquilizer dart and only fantastic images jump at you. I did not pinch myself to see if the dream would end.

First day on the beach…I was not in a swim suit and was therefore the oddest beach going person.
