Mid Peninsula Community Studio was where I recorded my interview by Sally Rayn for a program called Talk Art on June 5, 2014. A special mention needs to be made for Nance Wheeler, the producer – she was very organized and made sure that the production worked like a well oiled machine. She gave pointers from what to wear, to which pieces to show! The entire crew of 6-7 people during the production were volunteers who came at the studio after their day jobs, wrapped up the filming in one go and then called it a day!

July 8, 2014 4:24 amAmazing. The demonstration was so nice. It was great to see how you paint from start to end and what are your thoughts behind it. What you said about details was so apt. ‘The details should not be to the extent of it looking like a photograph. There have to be certain things unsaid in the painting and let the viewer emote and complete the picture.’ I second you although I don’t understand much about painting. I particularly loved ‘I am not talking to you’ one. – Shruti

July 8, 2014 5:47 amDear Shruti, If a painting speaks to you – then you understand art! There is nothing more to it really – the technical language is only to quantify emotions which is largely futile but can be useful when improving technique. I am ecstatic that you found the demonstration useful – I was skeptical about the audio track but you seem to have surmounted that drawback. Love, Uma
